Agents of Transformation: The Gifts of Grief with Joyce Dillon
In this Agents of Transformation interview, I’m with Joyce Dillon, RN, MN, BCC, loss and grief education, creativity, purpose and wellness coach, and artist. Joyce and I co-faciltated 5 in-person and online grief retreats together, after our training with our teacher Francis Weller.
Joyce was a nurse therapist and a pioneer in energy medicine, as well as a life purpose and wellness coach, and a creativity teacher. As a result of early childhood trauma, Joyce sought out both western and indigenous healing modalities; in addition to her nursing training and her certification in Mind Body medicine from Harvard, Joyce studied loss and grief with elder Malidoma Some, and apprenticed with master shaman Alberto Villoldo and shaman Don Oscar-Miro Quesada. Joyce was mentored by renowned loss and grief author and teacher Francis Weller, and was trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy. Joyce facilitated private and group grief retreats and was also an artist who taught intuitive painting. Joyce authored Create The Life You Love: 5 Secrets to Unlock the Life You Love.
In this interview, Joyce shares about her training with grief-work facilitators Malidoma Some and Francis Weller, and about how grief work, when well-done, can result in even more vitality and purpose.
My dear friend Joyce Dillon graduated this life on January 1, 2024. At the end of her life, Joyce was tenderly cared for by a cirlce of friends. She will be missed, even as her legacy of healing will continue to ripple out from the hearts of all she touched.
